2013 Murphys Show – Miniature Awards

In this third of three posts about the 2013 Murphys show I cover the American Daffodil Society awards for miniature daffodils.

The Miniature Gold Ribbon is for the best miniature daffodil excluding the Historic and Container Sections.  It happens that the flower was a seedling exhibited by its originator so it also won the Miniature Rose Ribbon.  The flower is seedling 08-6-01 10W-W exhibited by Jon Kawaguchi. Notice the nicely scalloped rim on the corona. The perianth segments do twist, but they all twist the same way and therefore maintain symmetry.
