There weren’t a lot of miniatures entered in this year’s national show, and there were only 4 ADS awards since several of the miniature collection classes had no entries.
The Miniature Gold Ribbon is for the best miniature in the show excluding the Container Section and Challenge Section. The winner was ‘Medway Gold’ 7Y-Y exhibited by Leone Low. You can’t tell the size from the photo, but I’d say it was no more than 15 millimeters in diameter.
The Miniature White Ribbon is for the best set of 3 miniatures in the show. The winner was ‘Hummingbird’ 6Y-Y exhibited by Larry Force.
The Lavender Ribbon is for the best collection of 5 miniatures in the show excluding the class for 5 American-bred miniatures. The flowers in the winning exhibit are N. fernandesii var. cordubensis 13Y-Y, ‘Little Karen’ 8W-P, ‘Hummingbird’ 6Y-Y, ‘Little Kibler’ 9W-GYR, ‘Tiny Bubbles’ 12Y-Y. The exhibitor was Janet Hickman.
The Miniature Bronze Ribbon is for the best exhibit of 5 miniatures, 3 stems of each, from at least 3 RHS divisions. The flowers in the winning collection are ‘Shillingstone’ 8W-W, ‘Angel o’Music’ 5Y-Y, N. fernandesii var. cordubensis 13Y-Y, ‘Angel’s Whisper’ 5Y-Y, N. bulbocodium ‘Atlas Form’ 13Y-Y. The exhibitor was Jack Hollister.
This concludes my posting of the ADS award winners at the 2014 American Daffodil Society national show.
