This show is always held at the Franklin Park Conservatory. In the lower level, they combine a couple of lecture rooms to allow for a very nice space to hold just about as many flowers that can be brought in.
Just as in other shows, this one feared to be a small one, but with the out of town exhibitors showing up, it was actually quite a nice show with some very impressive flowers.
CODS offers several awards for specific single stem catagories. Best Pink, Best American, and Spud Brogden sponsors a Best New Zealand Single stem award. In this show, the “Best In Show” (Gold Ribbon), was also awarded the best Pink and the best New Zealand awards. Taken from the winning Throckmorton 15 stem entry, exhibited by Nancy Gill. All the photos of the winners are shown here, and some special flowers that were stand outs, either in rare cases, or in some FUN flowers. Anything that does not quote an award was just a flower that is not often shown in show, or not very well known.
The Gold Ribbon Winner, Polar Sky, was also chosen as the New Zealand award and the CODS Best Pink award. Exhibited by Nancy Gill.

The 3 stem Intermediate Ribbon was awarded to Bantam, exhibited by Kathleen Simpson.
The Classic Single Stem & best classic cultivar Ribbons was awarded to Dainty Miss, exhibited by Margaret Baird.
The 3 Stem Classic Ribbon was awarded to Dallas, exhibited by Miek & Lisa Kuduk.
The Classic 5 stem Ribbon was awarded to this collection exhibited by Mike & Lisa Kuduk with the flowers of: Ambergate, Dallas, Tahiti, Noweta (?), and Ceylon
The Historic Single Stem Ribbon winner was Beryl, exhibited by Naomi Liggett.
The Historic 3 Stem Ribbon winner was Yellow Cheerfulness, exhibited by Mike & Lisa Kuduk.
The 5 stem junior was not offered in this show, but the officers graciously allowed it to be exhibited for Cassidy Stockmeier. The flowers are: Waterperry 7W-YPP

The Watrous winner, exhibited by Naomi Liggett includes the flowers: tete-a-tete, xit, mite, minnow, hummingbird, spoirot, tinny bubbles, junior miss, little cuda, yellow pearl, waterii, and gipsy queen.
We called this 8th wonder because of the 8 petals. It’s “Red Envy” and 2 bulbs did this for Frank this year.

Tom won the Rose Ribbon. Our intrepid photographer is modest, so when you don’t see a winner’s name, it means Tom was the exhibitor. Thanks for your comments on my seedlings, Harold. And Tom, thanks for posting photos of my seedlings. They are all sooooo much better than my seedling which won at the SWODS show a week earlier. That one from SWODS was nearly dead.
