2015 Georgia Daffodil Society Show (GDS)

Hello All my Daffodil friends!

The Georgia Daffodil Society show was held at it’s usual venue in the Chattahoochee Nature Center, Roswell Georgia.  It was a small, but very nice show with good quality. The Gold Ribbon winner was Pink Silk exhibited by Betsy Abrams. It seems that Betsy took quite a few ribbons this year.

See photos below. I think I have documented all the awarded ribbons. As with my usual practice, I walk the show several times to try to find blooms that are not so often noticed in shows to get photos for you all to enjoy. While I didn’t see anything that really stood out, A fun part of this show was a young lady who came to enjoy the show seemingly planned well in advance as her fingernails were painted with ALL sorts of different divisions of Daffodils!. What a fantastic, and artisitic idea!. Could we incorporate that into the activities  for kids, maybe?

Happy Showing!

  1. It seems most appropriate for Jaydee to stage a lovely three-stems of ‘Butterfly Kiss’ given her love of butterflies!

Congratulations to all exhibitors for producing such fine blooms in the face of such an abbreviated, cold season. The Gold, White, MiniGold and MiniWhite winners were especially impressive!

And I enjoyed seeing ‘Mesa Verde’ in the RWB collection.
