One of our prominent exhibitors of miniature daffodils was unable to attend the Livermore show this year, but Harold Koopowitz and Marilynn Howe saved our Miniatures Section with their fabulous display of their seedlings. As you look at the pictures and the classifications, you’ll realize there are many new forms and classifications possible that aren’t generally seen elsewhere in the U.S. (or the world for that matter). Indeed, Harold and Marilynn’s exhibits won all the awards shown on this page.

This posting concludes the series of three postings with the ADS award winners at the 2016 Livermore daffodil show.
Holy cow, these are amazing! The breadth of divisions and color codes you’re working with is staggering. I am especially in love with, and impressed by, the six-headed triandrus and the three headed bulbocodium in the Watrous, and the MiniGold 2O-R, but they’re all spectacular. Congratulations!
I forgot to say that the photos are wonderful and I am impressed by the sharpness of such large collections. Thank you for posting, Kirby.

Suzy:
It is nice to know that someone actually looks at them. It makes all the work worthwhile. Thank you.
Hi Harold,
I can assure you that there are Daffnet members in New Zealand who greatly admire your work.
If only we could get the same results with our own seedlings. Keep up the good work and keep posting these wonderful photographs.
Robin
Congratulations to all of the winning exhibitors at the Livermore Daffodil Show! All of the flowers were extraordinary and Kirby’s photography was outstanding.
Thanks so much for sharing the show photos and results with us…Lynn
Harold, your flowers are amazing! I am impressed by the range of divisions and colors. You are truly changing the face of miniature daffodils.
Thanks, Kirby, for posting the photos. And congratulations on winning the Throckmorton and Quinn awards.
Quite the best set of miniatures I think we have ever seen. There is divisional variety, colour breaks and well formed flowers. We stand in awe of Alec Gray and John Blanchard with regard to miniatures. We are fortunate to be part of the future’s awesome ones.
Well said, David.
