And this concludes the report of the ADS award winners at the 2017 ADS national daffodil show!
Kirby, thanks for all the photos of the Sacramento show. Greatly appreciated. And congratulations on your winning flowers, too.
I just got an e-mail from Larry Force that I had mis-attributed the Mini Gold and Mini Rose winner to him. I’ve just edited this post to correct it to Harold Koopowitz and Marilynn Howe. However, I’ve just noticed another problem and need some clarification from Harold or Marilynn. At the left end of the front row of their Premier Miniature Collection there’s a 7W-W labeled 12-085-1. So which seedling number do I have wrong?
I’m so thrilled that all of you could see Larry’s superior seedlings. He
is truly the “Pride of the Southern Region.” Larry has the eye of an
artist and a gift from Above. Annette P. Kahn
Kirby, I took photos with the labels on the Premier collection, I will email them to you. You have the front left row one correct.
I’ve received word from Harold Koopowitz about the duplicate seedling number 12-081-1 for the 8Y-W that won the Mini Gold and the 7W-W at the left end of the front row of his and Marilynn’s Premier Miniature Collection. Both seedlings came from the same cross. The Mini Gold winner will keep the 12-085-1 number. The 7W-W seedling at the front left of the Premier will be 12-085-2. (Both are ‘Jonquilawn’ x N. dubius.) I’ve made the change in this posting so you’ll now see 12-085-2 in the list of flowers in the Premier Miniature Collection.
