To all the show chairman and society presidents-

My job is to keep records of judges information that includes judging assignments, winning blue ribbons and taking refreshers. I have not received all of the judges reports from show chairman for 2013.

There are about 60 ads judges that need a refresher before the end of 2014. After receiving the judges credentials report from the list of missing ones below I will send a list of all judges to each regional directors so they can offer a refresher in their area and encourage judges to take it this fall. If you need a refresher ask the person organizing your fall meeting and bulb sale to offer one. Some areas offer one after their show in the spring. Still others offer a refresher during the winter when schedules seem a little less busy.

  1. Anyone in need of judging refresher should make an extra effort to attend the 2014 ADS Convention in Little Rock, Arkansas. One of the seminars is always designated as the refresher–did you attend Ted Snazelle’s presentation in Columbus but forget to report it and/or sign up?? Also, arrangements can be made to attend part of the judging school which I believe is to be the day before the convention.

    Julie does an excellent job of keeping up with the credentials status. Make her job a little easier by looking ahead and fulfilling your refresher requirements.

  3. Where is the ballot for the Miniature Committee?  I found it once but can’t find it again.
