Barco, NC Show

In the Barco Show Schedule I added a class of 5 Stems 5 Divisions. I love that class because you not only have to make five different cultivars look like a collection and not a motley crew (sorry). But you also have to make it pleasing and be innovative in staging so that they will look pleasing to the eye. I’m finally getting hard completion from others after being the only entry for a couple of pictures. I don’t have a picture, but it was up for the Purple Ribbon. And interesting note. The Quinn went to me over Janet Hickman where I had mentally written it off as Janet’s Ribbon. What do I know about judging, I had considered my competition had first place but I already had mine staged so I put it on the show table.

Here are a couple of additional photographs that I took. The first was to Rose Ribbon Golden Topaz X Golden Strand 2Y-O.Rose ribbon golden topaz x golden strand y o
I don’t think that came out correctly. The next is a picture of the Mini Rose Ribbon a Ntt X N. cordubensis cross.Mini rose. The story behind this one is that my Premier collection was passed over because one daffodil did not have the division code on the label (I accept that as I make mistakes sometimes because I just forget). However, the mini Rose Ribbon that was selected is the same daffodil that I forgot to put the label Div 5 on. Judging is sometimes mysterious.

  1. It doesn’t look like this one was posted. Could be but I didn’t get notification on any of the three that I posted today.
