Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch

Quite a few people, on the Garden Tour during the Jackson convention, told Mary Price that they would like the recipe for her dessert cookies. This seemed the best way to get it to them—and to others who might enjoy it.

One warning:  Do not use Light Peanut Butter! Mary said she discovered this the hard way, early on.

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER CRUNCH

1 cup corn syrup
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups peanut butter
6 cups Special K
1 cup butterscotch morsels
1 cup chocolate morsels

Bring corn syrup and sugar to a boil, just to dissolve the sugar; stir in peanut butter.
Add Special K; mix well.  Spread in a foil or parchment lined 9×13 pan.
Melt chocolate and butterscotch morsels, spread over mixture.
Let cool, cut into small pieces.
