  1. I’ve grown Curly Lace.  It had only one flower per stem, but it was a large flower and I didn’t think it looked at all like a 7.

  2. ‘Curly Lace’, also marketed as ‘Love Potion’, has been a strong performer here. I’ve only noticed one flower per stem. It has a good fragrance and good lasting power in the garden.

The Heaths have certainly done a fine job creating fun, garden-worthy jonquils, adding terrific diversity to this division.

‘Love Potion’ is registered by W. Gould Jr.. in 1992 as a 2 W-P. I cannot find ‘Curly Lace’ in International Register. Is this another Dutch Marketing scam?

‘Curly Lace’ is a Div. 7 Y-Y bred by Brent Heath that is not yet registered with the RHS.

  5. Yes, Marilynn, ‘Love Potion’ is another marketing issue… Breck’s is the culprit.

Also from Breck’s, ‘Amadeus Mozart’ = ‘Czardas’, ‘Breck’s Colossal’ = ‘Gigantic Star’, ‘Spring Cheer’ = ‘Erlicheer’, ‘Golden Beauty’ = ‘Dick Wilden’, and ‘Moonlight Serenade’ = ‘Sunnyside Up’, for those of you out there wanting to buy new daffodils for your collection.

From van Bourgondien, ‘The Bulb Lady’ = ‘Ara’.
