Daffodil Flag in Oakdale Finally Flying

I returned to Minnesota with Snow threatening.  Many in our area received over 15cm of snow yesterday. I again took the 20 minutes to scrape ice and snow from my cars windows and entrances.   The skies parted and the sun came out.  I returned after work to see a seedling that Becky Fox Matthews had given me just opening.  It is the first daffodil bloom outside, heralding the start of my daffodil season.  I went over to the N. cyclamineus patch to see the heads tipped over, but no bloom yet.   I hope to get to my main plantings further up the hill and an hour away to sort out what is going on there.  Although late here, I have had four springs this year the one at home most anticipated and welcome.
