Hi Folks,
It seems strange to arrive home from a spring daffodil convention and to immediately be involved in organizing an Autumn Garden Show and National Chrysanthemum Show.
The Chrysanthemum Show was combined with a presentation by the Canterbury Horticultural Society in conjunction with the Christchurch Botanic Gardens. Displays by the Orchid Society, Alpine garden Society – N patulus is in the top right of their photo – Bonsai, Beautifying Association, Garden Clubs floral art and our own CHS display of kokodarma – hanging moss basket. Check out the wonderful photos on the Canterbury Horticultural Society website under News and Recent photos. The first photo of six chrysanthemum cultivars is an entry from Michael and Marion Brown.
I suggest you also look at the photos of our School’s Garden Show. Primary School students grew plants and added science, art, design and descriptive writing to their displays. Truly inspiring. You will find a nice photo of Leitha in there also.
