We just finished the GCV Daffodil Show in Winchester, VA. I was not able to take pictures or get official results. However, a beautiful Magic Lantern with real color in the cup was Best in Show and rightly was voted so over 5 of my entries. My 3 stems of the same Magic Lantern won the White Ribbon. I also won the Rose Ribbon with all 7 of the candidates being my own seedlings.. Mitch Carney won the mini gold with a Camborne cross that looked like a white cyclamineus. I got frustrated in the Barco show because I have about 15 of my seedlings and they were most overlooks and given 2nd place ribbons other than the Rose. So at this show I put about 15 of my seedlings along with Grandpa W.A. 2W-Y in the Quinn award. When they awarded me the Quinn the seedlings could not be overlooked. Grandpa W.A. has now been in two winning Quinn’s and I named it mostly at the results of my family wanting something named after my faher W.A. It seems to have show worthiness. I have a beautiful picture of it from the Barco show.
