Kapiti Mayflower – Sol d,or O P
An explanation on the name.
This is the last bloom it usually starts n May – very early – hence Mayflower.
Kapiti Island is about 5 km offshore from here and is a major and very important bird santuary.
Our local body governance organisation is K C D C –Kapiti Coast District Council covering about 80,000 people.
I have named (but not registered ) several tazettas withthe Kapiti name.
Hope that helps Nancy – not as juicy as Orange County but a small coastal plain just northof the capital Wellington,
but an area with great soils and good climate
