More from Holland

Also in Holland it seems to be an early season. This is field of N.bulbocodium (-/-3 acres) The field is greening up and on the front you see some ones in bloom. This ones are Walter Bloms N.bulbocodium seedlings. Who have joined the World Daffodil Tour in 2008 can remember our fields of N.bulbocodiums After that year several variety,s got a AGM at Wisley. We are now working on a program for potting and setting in the market. The market for bulbs on pots in Holland was in 2010 over 120 million pots. A big market for the future!!!!! (breeders! attention)

Normally the average temperatures in this time of the year are about 1 to 3 grad celsius above zero. Now each day a lot of wind and rain. Last two days 2 inches of water. When you look at the temperatures in Europe even in East Europe is hardly no frost. And for us the cold is coming from that area,s. There is no program for weather and nature has his own rules.
All the best. Jan Pennings
