Pennsylvania Daffodil Growers South (PDGS) 1st Annual Show – Oregon Cedar ! ! !

Good Grief!.. What a GREEN eye!!.. I was concerned that this might not stay fresh enough for photos after the show, but it remained in great shape, not starting to lose substance until early this morning just before we said our good-byes to come home. This one is also not on Daffseek.

This completes my visual report of the PDGS show. Sadly, It is also the end of the show season for me. I hope to see all of you at a meeting, or at next springs shows.

Nancy, this will also be on the high resolution disc I’ll send you later on.

  1. Tom, You could always come up to Minnesota for our show this coming weekend if you want some more daffodils. We desperately need a photographer and have been refrigerating and picking flowers for over a month. I still have things that haven’t opened yet. But our goofy weather has made some things very scarce this season for me and caused some strange formations. Other DSM members in the city have not had the hard freezes that I’ve experienced, losing even my asparagus after three pickings (it’s back producing, now). All are welcome to end the season here in Minnesota. Edie Godfrey Minnetrista, Minnesota

  2. Dear Tom,

Thanks for the pictures from the Washington PA show! So good that it wasn’t hastily cancelled!

Oregon Cedar is one of my best late flowers. It is also a first-rate parent. I look forward to showing you the well-formed jonquil seedlings from Gilead x Oregon Cedar (next year).
