The First Wisconsin Show – Sheboygan, May 9

I hope that some of you appear at the show Ray Rogers is putting together for the coming weekend in Sheboygan. See the show schedules on DaffodilUSA.org.  My bet is that it will be a terrific first show, given the efforts Ray has put in so far. And, I have seen some of his and some of Nancy Pilipuf’s blooms for the show. You folks planning to compete on Saturday better bring good stuff! I hope I have some left. Ray and I met yesterday at Nancy’s so that he could pick up more MDS properties. Ray had gorgeous blooms he had picked from those he transplanted from New Jersey to his brother’s farm in western Illinois. He was expecting his first standard last week, so it’s still early there. I hope some other Minnesota folks drop in, too.

There will be at least three judges from the Midwest Daffodil Society, and Mike Berrigan will offer a refresher at 1 PM.  Sheboygan is a nice place to visit, even if you aren’t interested in cheese and brats, and the lure of nice blooms and a good show make it a must.
