Wendy Akers

Dear All,

It is with sadness that I report the passing of Wendy Akers.

Wendy and James were good friends for many years. We hunted daffodils
together in Spain and Portugal on several occasions and had many pleasant encounters and lunches together at RHS shows. We were privileged to have them visit us in Northern Ireland.

Personally we have a lost a good friend and the daffodil world is much the poorer but our thoughts are with James and the family to whom we extend our deepest sympathy at this difficult time.

Malcolm Bradbury has written a brief Obituary note and has asked me to forward to Daffnet. Please see attachment.

If anyone would like to respond in any way James has requested it be done by
e-mail to James Akers

or by post to:

  1. So sorry to hear about Wendy’s passing.  It was always a pleasure seeing her at various daffodil events around the world.  My condolences to James and his family.
