[BODnet] inquiry asking for help

I have sent her a long email and sections of an article I am currently working on for The Magnolia, Journal of the Southern Garden History Society, on daffodils in historic vernacular Georgia gardens, as she emailed a friend in Tenn (Carnton) who sent her to me directly. I also will send her some daffs in cemetery articles from The Daff Journal and The Magnolia I have for her to read.

Excellent Sara. In all your research can you confirm or deny the legend that early explorers, e.g. Ponce de Leon, may have carried daffodil bulbs on board ship (because they traveled well) and then planted them along the way as markers for future explorers?
