Millie Galyon

Millie Galyon is a beautifully contrasty 2W-YYR in appearance as grown here in Livermore, CA.  It is interesting to compare it to Mary Lou Gripshover’s photo in Daffseek, where it is true to the registered color code 2W-R.  It provides a clear example of how appearance can vary with growing conditions.

I don’t know what the daffseek policy is, but I hope that regional variations are shown.  After all, we don’t all live in Oregon.  Seasons vary a lot in Ohio.  Great photo!
