Miss Muffit

This cheery little bunch of Miss Muffit has has been open over a week, surviving 2 rainstorms, high winds, and a couple of freezing nights. One frosty morning the stems were flat on the ground. When the sun came out, they picked right up again. It may not be a show flower, but I sure like the stocky little cheerful cutie! A couple of minis and bulbocodiums and Rinjveld’s Early Sensation are open and there are lots of buds everywhere.
It looks like we’ll have temps mainly in the 40s and 50s for highs and 30s for lows this week. I saw some pretty huge clusters of snow flakes coming down yesterday morning, but still no snow cover of more than a dusting here this year, though there have been snow days north and way south of us.
