Daffodil Friends,
Manuel Lima used Actaea often in his breeding – perhaps wanting fertility and certainly cup color. The resultant seedlings are mostly Y-O, Y-GOO, or Y-GYO – although some have whitish perianths. They all opened with a distinct greenish cast. This one (though badly faded) is representative of the form of the lot. The best have some petal overlap. The orange in their cups is lovely – no reddish tint at all. It is quite bright in many.
Bob
Gorgeous, Bob! I especially love this one!
