Yesterday I went to my first daff show, at Mississippi College, where Ted Snazelle teaches. Everyone was so nice. Ralph Sowell broke off from finishing getting his daffs ready for the show, and it was only because the judging was delayed that he got all of his in. I think he won 45 ribbons yesterday. He probably has a separate closet for all his ribbons over the years. Naturally he also won several prizes for his photos, as did his now grown daughter, who wasn’t able to come. I was able to clerk, and that was a joy, walking behind the judges, listening.
One of the exhibitors from Dallas (I was amazed that so many out of state folks came, including our new national president)brought Arkle, a large yellow. It was given to her, and she could not recall from whom she had gotten it.
So I am wondering if anyone knows where I might get Arkle.
