Two interesting jonquil seedlings

The split cup is jonquilla on Cassata. Not sure what Shawn put pollen on for that really big jonquil! When Shawn was about 5 years old he followed me around mashing jonquilla into all the open blooms he could find. We gathered all the seed pods we could find and dumped the seeds in big beds. There are actually a few pretty nice things starting to multiply. Keith Kridler

    Very nice.I am certain Shawn is the rising star of the daffodil hybridizers. I made some crosses of N. cordubensis with Menehay and Trigonometry, but got blossoms with only one flower per stem till now.
