Congratulations

Dear friends,
Sincere Congratulations to Peter Ramsay for being awarded the  Gold Medal from the American Daffodil Society; an honor that is long overdue!
I have been waiting a long time to say that; we have all been so good about not letting the cat out of the bag before Tuesday night!
I hope all our friends have a great tour overseas and safe trips back home.

  1. I have long said that some of us have one talent and some another.  Phyllis’ talent has always been in the administrative details.  While the rest of us are busily playing with our flowers, Phyllis is in the back making sure all the details are taken care of.  We are really greatful that she does this and we don’t have to.  Her contribution to the ADS is in this same vein.  If you don’t know how important it is to have someone around who knows the rules and procedures, ask the last several ADS presidents.
I add my congratulations to the others.  We’re all proud of you Phyllis.  You deserve that Silver Medal.

  3. Another great quality of Phyllis’ that everyone around me was talking about as we celebrated her Silver Medal—the way she looks after everyone, always, whatever they seem to need.  She just notices, and does it, from that kind and generous heart.

  4. Here’s a visual account of that event. And the tears didn’t just come from Phyllis.

    What fun!
