Refrigerating blooms

How long will a bloom last refrigerated?  What is the best way to store it,
lying down, standing up?

I don’t remember seeing a reply to this question, Carla. But I can tell you that in the SW Ohio area last year spring arrived three weeks early and many of us stored daffodils in the refrigerator for those three weeks for our show. Some of those blooms were even removed after the show, refrigerated again, and displayed at another show a week later.
I stand mine up in water, trying to keep the flower heads from touching each other. And you don’t want the flowers touching the sides of the refrigerator either.
