cow patties and daffodils

The question came up whether daffodil seeds sprout in cow chips or other livestock dung. This shot shows a cow patty that seems to have been dropped on this daffodil when the foliage was already up out of the ground but NOT too tall as the leaves bend over under a fresh load of cow dung. This shows the ever hardy Campernelle or n. Odorus in bloom, seems that no one told the cows that you should fertilize the bulbs in the fall and NOT during bloom time.
