In this shot you see an older, thin cow patty that is so strong that when the daffodils attempted to push up through the patty they actually broke the patty loose from the ground. At this stage we actually called these “Cow Chips” and these can be sailed like a Frisbee for hundreds of feet with the object of hitting your siblings in the back of the neck so that the cow chip will disintegrate and fall down the insides of their shirt. You then will wear them there for the rest of the itchy day. KK
I couldn’t help but think of the Brittish term “Watch out for falling chips’!!!”
