Greetings from Louisiana,
My name is Adrienne Smith. The reason for my letter is to find out what goes into naming a daffodil, and more specifically, can one be named for an individual? My mother’s husband, Bill Purdy, is dying of cancer. His favorite flower is and has always been daffodils, but living in northern Minnesota, he was never able to successfully cultivate them due to the bitter cold. Would it be possible to have a flower named for him? He is such a wonderful person, and as the days grow smaller, one wonders what you can do. I think that this would bring him so much joy.
If you wish to contact me via telephone, my home number is 319-925-1499, and work number 318-222-8187.
Many thanks for your consideration,
Adrienne Smith
