Okay Ian, here’s a challenge.
I will give GB 10 gold and 40 medals in total. With a population of 60 million that is about one medal per 1.5 million people.
I reckon the kiwis will get about 6 gold and 20 medals in total. Thats about one medal per 200 000 people. GB would need 300 medals to equal that.
Our peak flowering season here is usually the first week in October. Second year down Habit have just split their calyxs and will be open in a few days. Normally I would expect it to flower in the first week of September. The first cyclamineus species, a very tiny form, have opened so I’m looking at a pretty good cross coming up.
