Here is the Champion Bloom from the South Island National. A very tidy seedling bred and exhibited by Nelson grower John Hunter. You might like to supply the breeding, John. It came from a vase of three which is very unusual.
I will post a selection of other premier blooms later.
We were treated to a lovely lunch including whitebait at Hunters on Sunday and viewed some very nice new seedlings. Later we went to Ngatimoti up in the hills to see the McQuarrie plantings. Many lovely flowers there too in a spectacular setting. What a delightful day!
