Birds

The left front of the flowerhead has the tops of the stamens nipped  off.

The culprit sat at the top of the bush ,  singing [ beautifully ]  and laughing at me.

The N Z tui is a native song-bird that is a nectar feeder , hencethey like the waratahs and most other members of the Protea family.

They are around all daff season , usually on  Banksia Intergrifolia , another nectar producer.
They truly make a beautiful chorus.
