Fall meeting Nashville

Thanks to everyone who attended the Nashville meeting! It was so wonderful to have so many daffodil friends here. The Miniatures Symposium planned by Harold Koopowitz was fantastic and the photos of Lawrence Trevanion’s flowers were amazing! Thank you to all the presenters, Harold, and Kathy Welsh (a huge help with the logistics) and to George Dorner who made record time with a huge agenda of board meeting business.
Most of you may know that costumes based on daffodil names were optional for Friday night (Halloween). There were some really fun costumes, so I thought I would post a few photos with challenges to ID the daffodil name, theme or perhaps even the person wearing the costume. (If you don’t want yours posted, let me know soon!) Here’s the first challenge: name the three daffodils represented by Rebecca Brown, Edie Godfrey, and Richard Ezell. No fair guessing if you were there! ;->

  1. Photo 1: Melissa got ‘Bob Spotts’ correct (Rebecca Brown). Ceci Brown correctly guessed ‘Bridal Crown’ for Edie Godfrey. Richard Ezell is not ‘King Alfred’. Y’all have 2 out of 3 on that photo. Keep trying on Richard’s!
Photo 2: What daffodil? (easy!) Betty Hartzog guessed it is Brian Duncan in the costume (right), but he did not have switches in his bag, of course, because we had all been good boys and girls!
Photo 3: ‘Queen of the North’ for Sara is a good guess, but not correct. No guesses yet for Chriss!?
