Snow in the Waikato

Hello All,

Snow in our region is unheard of – yet this is what we woke to this morning.  You can see from the roses blooming in the background that we are in early summer.  Even more amazing is that the daytime temperature is 25 degrees Centigrade.   At least it is not affecting the seed pods ripening – nice plump seeds from the 30 or so crosses collected to date.

Roses are magnificent this year – you should visit us in November Bob!!!

Cheers,

Peter

  3. I have never heard of snow in the Waikato before even in our worst winter. The reason is called Global Warming I’m sure.
