A small visitor

 All,
This litttle guy was in my shed to-day when I went out to pot up the last few Tulips. He sat and posed amongst some Geraniums and then slept on a ledge.  The Goldcrest is our smallest bird weighing only 5 grams, it is usually only seen at a distance, and never still, as it creeps amongst conifer needles. This was my closest look ever and I can’t resist the temptation of sharing him with you all.
Happy Christmas Everyone
and
Best wishes for the New year.

  4. After a low of  -19ºƒ (-7ºc) with sleet and freezing rain last week, we had a record high of 83ºƒ(28ºc) yesterday in Plano, TX.  For most of the USA we’ve had the coldest November and December than more than 10 years and many places have had record snowfalls.  Predictions are that we’re going to have an abnormally cold winter.

Hope all have had a joyous holiday season and look forward to a happy new year.

    G’day All,
Here in the Blue mountains in Australia we are experiencing a nice wet summer. This is the first time in 7 years the worry of serious bushfires have not ruined our Christmas. The temeratures have been in the mid 20’s C with unusual humidity. Some daffs still have green foliage.
All the best wishes for a healthey and happy new year
