Just got a good book this weekend and this looks like the perfect time to recommend it, given the recent discussion of rules. Check out “Otherwise Normal People: Inside the Thorny World of Competitive Rose Gardening” by Aurelia Scott (Hardcover – May 18, 2007). It’s roses rather than daffodils, but definitely the same mind-set.
