Becky, I lived just outside of Lebanon for over 13 years and the folks there let me know, real fast, that I pronounced Lebanon wrong. I said “Leb-ah-non” and they said it was
“Leb-nunn”. I finally compromised by saying “Leh-buh-nun” like you were told. “Leb-nunn” sounds so ugly, I just couldn’t make myself even try.
