shade affecting bloom times of Sweetness

I am going to send two shots of this drift. This photo is looking due west with the large pine tree on the south side of the far end of the drift of Sweetness. This pine shades the ground during the winter and keeps this small section of ground cooler since the sun is low on the southern horizon. There is enough sunshine that hits the leaves to allow the bulbs to bloom.
This main drift was planted in 2003 and added to in 2004. The new section of bulbs added to the north side of the drift were planted in spring of 2007 and they will show up in the next photo. Keith Kridler
