bereavement notification

Friends, word has come from Bonnie Campbell here in GA, that:  Lois Johnson, Mrs. Harry Johnson, II, age 88 died March 6,  2009. 

The Fred Talley Parkview Chapel is in charge of arrangements.  The service will be this afternoon, 3/7/09 at Lois’ church: S. Broad Methodist Church.

Lois loved her daffodils and ordered new ones every year.  She also had a number of daffodils she grew from Phil Phillips and Meg Yerger.

Lois had been a member of ADS since FEB 1968.  I visited with her in the mid 70s, to see her garden, give a program of daffodils to the Rome, GA Council of Garden Clubs, and then Lois insisted I be on the local television station.  I kept up written communication with her thru the years, and spoke with her by phone, a couple of months back.  She was planning on ordering some new bulbs and asked me to help her get some catalogs sent to her, which I did.  If more info becomes available we will post it.
