California Daffodil Show on the Internet

Hello All,
On behalf of the Fortuna Garden Club, you are cordially invited to attend the 34th Annual Daffodil Show, “Daffodils by the River”.
If you cannot personally attend this show, no worries! You can see it via Fortunacam! http://www.sunnyfortuna.com/fortunacam/
Fortuna has six community cameras. The first camera is on the River Lodge roof, the site of the show. This camera displays a wonderful view of the Eel River. Scroll down the camera page to the last two “Event” cameras and by this evening, you will start to see images of the show venue and people staging their daffodils. The cameras update the screen every 15 seconds. These cameras will display the Fortuna show all day Saturday and Sunday.
Northern California’s time zone is GMT-8 or Pacific Daylight (savings) Time (PDT).
Enjoy!

  1. Nancy,
Give us a time that the judges and the people on the show committee will be together as a group and waving at the camera. Or what if someone is asked to be the designated waver on the hour, every hour. :) They can hold up a sign/placard on a stick that says, “Hello Daffnet.”

  2. Thanks for letting us know Nancy, this is a fun thing to do; please wave to us!! Phyllis

  3. Chriss and all,
The judging starts at 10:00 am Saturday and will last until 1:00 p.m. Final judging for best in show normally occurs close to one of the cameras. I will try to gather everyone in front of the camera at 2:00 p.m. Sat for a wave, however this may be an exercise in “herding cats”.
The Show hours are Sat – 1 to 4 and Sun 11 to 4.
To read a little more about this show, check this web page: http://www.daffodil.org/ncds/shows.htm
    See you all in Fortuna!
