Our Central Daffodil Group had a bulb sale and informal meeting to confirm show dates for the comming season .
Will confrm dates shortly , – have to check a few bookings.
Pleased to report an excellent attendance — several of our members were also showing their dahlias.
Also a record sales total , very good sales of bagged lots to the public whocame to see the dahlias and keen interest from
our members in a secret tender process for some top show daffs and new releases.
We have an very good rapport with the dahlia folk ,– they have a dahlia tuber sale at our late daff show. It,s a great win — win.
An no prizes for guessing who had the first daffs for the season.
Our southern Tazetta King , Wilfred Hall had three very attractive seedlings to set the season rolling.
Several folk had to smell the tazetta scent to believe that they were real.
