luscious geranium!

I just had to share this geranium I saw in a greenhouse at Cheekwood Botanical Gardens yesterday. They’ve had it for years, no name, but what a gorgeous plant!

  1. Becky,
The pelargonium you pictured looks very like Mrs Henry Cox. Certainly the foliage is very similar, I just can’t remember the flower colour.

  2. Google lists it as Mr. Henry Cox, but with no picture of the bloom but the leaf is exactly the same, so you must be right.  No source I could find for it.
Now if Cheekwood would propagate it  and put it on sale, we could have a plant of it.  Becky, you could tell them the name and see if they would do that.

  3. Ok, so now we have three names for this flower – Mrs. Cox, Mrs. Henry Cox and Mr. Henry Cox.  Wonder which one is right.  They all look the same.

  4. Donna,
The RHS Encyclopedia of House Plants pictures and records it as Mr Henry Cox. Probably right. i used to grow it – it’s a famous oldie.
