Martha Washington?

Too tired to pull up label. I think this is Martha Washington, Dick Wellband right behind Martha there. These were moved in spring of 2007 in full bloom but we had a wetter spring that year. Section to the right is ready to replant this year.
Everything off to the left in this photo is some of John Reeds culled seedlings. There is a LOT of pretty incredible stuff blooming in there that he discarded…..Basil rot is a huge issue in this part of Texas and across the south. It is NOT unusual to lose 2/3 of ALL of the newer varieties of daffodils within five years. Most varieties in Div. 7&8&10 do really well. These off to the left are the survivors. Some have thirty bulbs in a clump and some still are struggling with a single bulb. Keith Kridler
