snow

SNOW is falling here in Gloucester… Power is out.  I am in town with laptop having lunch at a coffee shop with wifi…
I lost power almost 11 pm sunday night….  I pray power will be restored soon…  Electrical company will not give day.
Daffodil folliage is frozen upright above the snow….  Ceci

  1. The Eastern Shore of Maryland is under about 11 inches of snow and temperatures are 7 degrees with windchill of -7.  chilly!  Pipes are frozen, but at least the sun is now out.

  2. We’re experiencing a ‘heat wave’ here in Richmond, Virginia, the temperature is now hovering around 19 degress and the sky is as “Blue as a Dutchman’s britches and a mile wide”!  The oft heard saying of a long departed celebrity on WRVA radio here in Richmond for many years.

Our daffs are under 6-8 inches of snow and ice, but the budded ones I picked on Sunday and brought indoors have all opened beautifully.  Perhaps I should have picked more!  Oh, well, time will tell!

  3. Things seem to be much later this year — only a few buds are on the daffodils and really only one bloom.  I’m sure they are cold because I certainly am.
