Special Award at National Show in Chicago

Guidelines for the National Show at the ADS Convention provide the hosts the opportunity to offer one special award, specific to that occasion.
We are indeed fortunate at this year’s Convention to be able to award a one-time Flower Show Medal presented by the Chicago Horticultural Society for an exhibit showing outstanding horticultural skill and knowledge entered in a nationally recognized show. For our show, this will be judged to be the best three stems of one cultivar of standard or miniature daffodils bred in the Midwest or Central Regions of the ADS.
The class numbers for qualifying entries are listed in the Horticultural Division Rules, which are available on the Convention website at http://ADS2009Convention.org.
A list of hybridizers and their cultivars which may qualify has been compiled and may be modified (or challenged) in response to comments received by email or in writing prior to the close of show entries. This list will be posted on the website cited in the next day or so.
This will be a great chance for you to compete for a unique award which may bring additional honor to a hybridizer from the central part of the USA, while bringing satisfaction to yourself for growing, grooming, and entering a real winner.
Note: ALL of the blooms used to decorate the convention website named above would qualify for this award, and the names of their hybridizers may give you some other ideas.
