Here is a close-up of the tip of a wire looping plier. What makes it work is the concave jaw to hold the wire against the mandrel while you bend it. There are probably many sources of these pliers; however, I happened to get this one from Micro-Mark. Their URL is www.micromark.com . The pliers come in two different sizes, and this one is part #14483, the one that makes larger diameter loops. I use the largest section of this plier to make a loop about a quarter inch in diameter. The list price is US$12.35. Shipping and handling would be $8.95. So for an investment of about $30 in tools, you can make card pins out of paperclips, and you can no longer use the excuse of not having card pins for not entering more collections of daffodils at your shows.
