Yes Ethel, many/most are indeed hardy here in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St Paul) and points north (zones 3 and 4). If you’ve not discovered Eloise Butler Wild Flower Gardens yet let me know – I’ll introduce you before we head down to Chicago. Don’t recall the botanical names/varieties but both yellow and white will carpet several areas and there’s a unique miniature variety tucked into a side area. A great many spring ephemerals will start appearing with regularity now.
