Those of us that went to see John Reed’s daffodil field were either prepared or wet since it rained often. Fortunately, George Dorner and the Chicago show team included rain ponchos in our show packages. Bill Pannill was one of those that was prepared with one and even managed to look “dapper” with his hat over the plastic.
In my case, having used both of my ponchos in the previous two days, I had to beg for one the bus. For some reason I still managed to get wet even wearing the poncho.
I missed the photo where Bill had the poncho stuck over his head, but maybe that is for the best.
