Design Show Results.pdf This part of the show drew lots of viewers and many comments from visitors. Our local show usually has a similar staging, coordinated by Pat and Bill Hessel, our intended chairs for this event. Two days before zero hour, Pat went into the hospital and had her gall bladder removed. Bill and his daughter held in there and produced a fine show with help from some enthusiastic ADS members.
It was especially pleasing to me that Bill received the Best Design in Show award and that Stephanie Lindemann, out helpmate at the CBG, won the Best Use of Daffodils award. Monetary awards were made by the Woman’s Board of the Chicago Horticultural Society to these two individuals.
