The daff is Rockall. 3 W O
After years of being uninhabited, unloved and abandoned to the Atlantic gales, Google tells me that both
Scot land ( 300miles away ) and Ireland ( 290 miles away ) are both now claiming this big rock, 65 feet tall ,
100 feet long and 83 feet wide.
The reason — oil — apparently testing has found that the Rockall bank has a potentially huge oil field under
it and suddenly everybody wants a share.
And I thought that we only ever heard of Rockall at the daff shows or the British shipping weather fore-cast.
Cheers John.
